Meet L. D. Baldwin

L.D. Baldwin is a pastor and church planter, ordained in 1977. He is also a law enforcement Chaplain and crime prevention specialist (CPS) certified by the Ohio Crime Prevention Association. Baldwin is endorsed by Regular Baptist Chaplaincy Ministries  (General Association of Regular Baptist Churches), and has served for over fourteen years. He is Chaplain of Brookville Police Department in Brookville, Ohio.

Baldwin has received numerous law enforcement awards and commendations. He was named Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by Perry Township Police Department (Ohio, 2013), and New Lebanon Police Department (Ohio, 2022). He has received two commendations for public service from Dayton Police Department, where he serves with Police And Clergy Together. 

Baldwin has written nonfiction feature articles for Regular Baptist Press (Horizons, Baptist Bulletin) for over twenty years. The Frank Martin Mystery series is his first foray into fiction. The Prodigal is the first novel in the series. 

Baldwin graduated from Beavercreek High School (1969) in Xenia, Ohio. He received his diploma from Moody Bible Institute (Chicago) in 1972, and his B, A, from Wright State University in 1975. He has a Masters of Religious Education diploma from Temple Baptist College (Cincinnati), and his D. Min. from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary (Shreveport). 

L.D. Baldwin and Belinda were married in 1976, and live in Dayton, Ohio. They have three adult children and six grandchildren.
